Following a difficult FP3 this morning at the Circuit Ricardo Tormo, Red Bull KTM Tech3’s Marco Bezzecchi managed to improve his fastest lap from the weekend during Q1 on Saturday afternoon. He missed a possible Qualifying 2 entry by just 0.038 seconds in the ultra-competitive intermediate class and will launch off from the seventh row come race day.

On the other side of the Red Bull KTM Tech3 garage, Philipp Öttl went quicker again today and went more than half a second quicker this afternoon than in Friday’s FP2. The German concluded Saturday 0.906 seconds behind his teammate in 12th position of the first Qualifying session. He will start his ultimate Grand Prix for now tomorrow at 12.20 local time from the ninth row of the grid.
