Red Bull KTM Tech3’s Marco Bezzecchi and Philipp Öttl gave their best today in the last race of the 2019 Moto2 World Championship season, which is also the last one for Red Bull KTM Tech3 in the intermediate class, before starting a brand-new adventure in the Moto3 category.

The young Turkish rider Deniz Öncü is set to give his full-time Moto3 debut in the upcoming season lining up alongside Ayumu Sasaki in Red Bull KTM Tech3’s new Moto3 project. The 16-year old talent is already looking back to some strong results in the Red Bull MotoGP Rookies Cup, fighting for the title in 2018. The same year and in 2019, he competed in the FIM CEV Moto3 Junior World Championship and gathered first experiences in the Moto3 World Championship.

Following a difficult FP3 this morning at the Circuit Ricardo Tormo, Red Bull KTM Tech3’s Marco Bezzecchi managed to improve his fastest lap from the weekend during Q1 on Saturday afternoon. He missed a possible Qualifying 2 entry by just 0.038 seconds in the ultra-competitive intermediate class and will launch off from the seventh row come race day.

Red Bull KTM Tech3 rider Marco Bezzecchi initiated the Gran Premio de la Comunitat Valenciana with a slight improvement from the first to the second session to conclude Friday 0.644 seconds behind the provisional Q2 entry spots.
