Red Bull KTM Tech3 rider Marco Bezzecchi concludes day one at the hot and humid Chang International Circuit today with a fast pace. In Free Practice 2, he managed to finish just 0.385 seconds from the top to conquer a provisional Q2 entry with P13.
Likewise, Philipp Öttl initiated the 15th round of the 2019 Moto2 World Championship season in a strong way, completing Friday just 0.534 seconds behind the top 14 ahead of tomorrow’s third Free Practice at 10.55 local time (5.55 CET).

"Today has been quite positive. This morning, I was struggling a bit, but we made some adjustments, that completely changed the behavior of the bike and this afternoon, I was quite fast from the beginning, also with used tyres. It’s the first time, I’m in the provisional Q2 positions on a Friday, so now we have to wait the weather tomorrow and still improve some points, but it was very good."
Philipp Öttl
Position: 23rd
Time: 1:36.881
Laps: 38

"Today was a decent day. We finished not that far off the top, just 0.9 seconds and I ended up in 23rd place. Everything is really close here, but I’m happy, as I could also manage to work on my breaking style, which I couldn’t really do in Aragon. So overall, I felt really good today."
