The Tech3 RacingT eam experienced a tough opening day at the Italian Grand Prix. While Bo Bendsneyder started with a decent performance in FP1, he struggled during today’s afternoon session. On the other side, Hector Garzo, who is riding the Mistral 610 for the third time this season in place of Remy Gardner, did his first laps at the tricky circuit in the Tuscan hills and was hampered in his process by a slight trip to the gravel this morning, but recovered nearly half a second in FP2.

Bo Bendsneyder

Position: 24th - Time: 1’53.797 - Laps: 38

Bo BendsneyderThe position doesn’t really reflect our potential overall today, as it was quite ok, apart from FP2, where we were not able to make the step that we wanted. Now we’re taking a close look at the data and I hope this will help us to improve tomorrow, as I’m quite sure we’ll find some points to progress.

Hector Garzo

Position: 32nd - Time: 1’56.120 - Laps: 21

Hector GarzoTo be honest, it was a difficult day for me here in Mugello. I was learning the track, which was not easy and also a little crash made me lose a bit of confidence this morning, but I tried to recover and improve in the second Free Practice. I went quicker, but not enough, so I still have to get to know the track better and want to enjoy every minute on the bike. I think tomorrow is going to be better, the track is truly difficult and I need a bit more, but I’m giving my all.
