The return of the paddock to Europe means the first time this season for Bo Bendsneyder to arrive at a track, where he was already collecting data with his Mistral 610 machine during winter testing. The Moto2 rookie immediately demonstrated his advantage in FP1 and FP2 on Friday and showed a good and especially consistent pace while already working towards the race in Jerez de la Frontera.

On the other side, Hector Garzo replaces Remy Gardner this weekend. After the Australian crashes while training this week, the entire Tech3 Racing team wishes him a full and speedy recovery and is hoping to see him back in the garage soon. Garzo, who already stepped in last year at the Sachsenring, used the first two Free Practice sessions to get used to the World Championship again and was able to improve his lap time from the morning to the afternoon by 0.5 seconds.

Remy GardnerI think it was a really positive day. We worked a lot with the race distance and the race pace today, also with long distances on the tyres, because in Argentina and Texas I struggled a bit during the end of the race, so now our main focus was on Sunday. Eventually, our position doesn’t look too great, but our pace is really good. During the second session, I kept the same tyre all the time, I did 30 laps with it and until the last lap I was inside 0.2 seconds of my personal best, so I think it’s been a productive day. Let’s wait and see how the track will be tomorrow, I’m looking forward and will try to improve again.”

Position: 32nd - Time: 1'45.414 - Laps: 41

Bo BendsneyderToday has been a quite difficult day for me. I tried to understand the bike, how it works, the suspension, the brakes and everything, but finally I can say, that I feel we found a good line. Tomorrow I aim to improve a bit more and I think in the end we can have a good weekend with a solid result.”
