Remy Gardner closed the first half of his rookie Moto2 season with a point scoring finish today at the challenging Sachsenring track where he forcefully powered to 12th. The young Australian leapt forward from the fifth row of the grid and he maintained his consistency throughout the 29 sprint as he pursued a strong result. Gardner set his fastest time of the race on the penultimate lap and he battled in a fierce fight with Syahrin which went right down to the chequered flag before he closed the weekend positively and in 12th.

Meanwhile, Hector Garzo’s debut ended in an unfortunate way after he fell at the 12th turn on the third lap. Garzo, who is standing in for the injured Xavi Vierge, began from 5th on the grid and quickly set off at speed. However, the impressive young Spaniard’s luck turned shortly after the start of the race, but the Tech3 Racing Team would like to thank him for his strong efforts during the German Grand Prix.

Hector Garzo produced a master class performance today in the wet German GP qualifying to seize 5th position on the grid despite having never ridden at the Sachsenring track before this weekend. Garzo, who is filling in for the injured Xavi Vierge, impressively powered to a lap time which leaves him on the second row and amongst vastly experienced Grand Prix winners. The young Spaniard seeks to show his talent tomorrow as confidently awaits his first Moto2 World Championship race.

Meanwhile, Remy Gardner continued his positive streak by qualifying 14th for the round 9 battle at the tight and twisting track. The young Australian resolutely fought against the challenging track conditions and sped over the finish line on his last lap to finish under a second back from the second row. Tomorrow he aims to muscle his way into a strong point scoring position in the highly competitive intermediate class sprint.

Remy Gardner launched into action today in Saxony and kicked off the 9th round of the Moto2 World Championship in a solid and determined style. After building up his pace in FP1, which he completed in 15th, Gardner powered onwards this afternoon to finish only six tenths of a second behind third place. The young Australian seeks to continue the positive momentum and clinch a solid grid position for Sunday’s 29 lap race tomorrow, despite unpredictable weather being expected.

Meanwhile, Hector Garzo, who is replacing the injured Xavi Vierge at this round, made a highly notable debut on the world scene by finishing FP2 only a second back from the top ten in the highly competitive intermediate class. The young Spaniard, who is currently second in the FIM CEV Moto2 World Championship, made consistent steps forward throughout the day as he outperformed some vastly experienced riders and seeks to carry on his firm progress tomorrow.
